Scarf has welcomed the publication of a new Scottish Affairs Committee report highlighting the importance of ensuring Scotland’s transition to clean energy delivers meaningful benefits for households and communities.
The report, Clean Power 2030: A fair deal for Scotland?, examines how Scotland can maximise the opportunities presented by the transition to net zero while ensuring communities share in the benefits through lower costs, investment, jobs and economic growth.
Earlier this year, Scarf Co-CEO, Lawrence Johnston, provided evidence to the Committee, drawing on the organisation’s experience supporting households across Scotland with energy advice, energy efficiency improvements and access to support.
The report highlights the importance of public confidence in the transition and recognises that communities must be active participants in shaping Scotland’s energy future.
