The government and energy suppliers have launched their Warm Home Discount Schemes to help those at risk from fuel poverty get a rebate from their electricity bill. If you are eligible, the Warm Home Discount will offer you a benefit of £140 (inclusive of VAT) against your electricity bill in 2020/21.
You might have had the Discount last year and need to re-apply, or maybe a change in circumstances means your income has reduced and you’ll qualify this year.
Lawrence Johnson, Acting Chief Executive of Scarf said: ‘There are lots of people in the North East who qualify for this extra £140 which will help them keep fuel bills under control this winter. At Scarf we’ve 35 years’ experience of working to eradicate fuel poverty and our trained advisors can help with scheme applications, and also offer additional advice and support on how you can heat your home for less.
‘If you think you, or someone you know might qualify give us a call and let us find out for you.’
If you give Scarf a call free on 0808 129 0888 or email on firstname.lastname@example.org and we can check if you’re eligible for this year’s discount. Alternatively, fill in this form to arrange a call back.
If you are, we can help you apply and also see if there is any other support available for you.
