Free workshops on sustainable transport and saving water in your home will be running online next week, hosted by Home Energy Scotland and open to all.

If you are keen to cut your carbon output and need some help getting started this mini series of workshops can help you get started. Free to members of the public, community groups and third sector organisations they are fun and interactive with plenty of take-home tips you can apply to your day-to-day lives.

Alex Bolda, Community Partnership Officer with Home Energy Scotland at Scarf in Aberdeen said: “We speak to lots of people who are keen to make a positive change to their lifestyle to help the environment but aren’t sure how to get started, or what help is available along the way.

“If this sounds like you, or someone you know, sign up for our workshops and find out more. Whether it’s how to access an interest-free loan to buy an electric vehicle, or to find out more about e-bikes the sustainable transport workshop offers a great overview of how active travel can help protect the planet and leave you with extra cash in your pocket.

“And our water workshop is a real eye-opener. Did you know that spending just one minute less in the shower each day could save £17 off your energy bills each year? Sign up and find out more great facts!”
